Seth Aaron on KOIN 6

Seth Aaron

Seth Aaron’s interview on KOIN 6 (click here to watch) was quick and informative. They discussed how Portland is a hotbed for designers - and that we’re taking over all industries (interior design and fashion) these days.

CATAPULT (which is an open call audition for Portland’s emerging designers) was also brought up. Seth Aaron will be on the judges panel for CATAPULT and he says “for all to try out, because there’s nothing to lose!” Winners will be announced during fashion week.

He also gave us some insight to his line that will be shown exclusively at Portland Fashion Week. The theme is Solar World (the company backing Portland Fashion Week) and he had a chance to tour their facilities. He was blown away and completely impressed by the tour, and left feeling “incredibly inspired.”

He said we should look for his line not to be literal, but containing graphic elements and his interpretation of a Solar World. “It’ll be new and fresh and injecting the point of view of a solar world, but nothing like you’ve seen before.” His main goal is to raise awareness of being “solar” which coincides with all of Portland Fashion Week’s goals.

We can’t wait to see his show. Seth Aaron’s runway show is on October 9th, you can purchase tickets here.
