Let’s talk about Alicia Wood.

In a sentence: She’s the fashion designer behind the label Ms. Wood.
Although you probably already know that. How can you not? She’s everywhere. A Portland success story. She and her husband Ben Wood (who crafts all of the Ms. Wood wooden accessories and platform shoes), are an undeniable force in our city’s ever-growing fashion scene. Ms. Wood, in the last year, has been featured in seemingly every magazine, blog, and newspaper around town, recently spotted hanging with the most stylish pets in PDX at Boutiques Unleashed, featured all over etsy.com, and her ubiquitous platforms were just paired with Seth Aaron’s new Ready-to-Wear line at LA Fashion Week. As if that wasn’t enough, rumor has it one of the PFW 2010 Makeup artists is now touring with the Royal Badness himself, Prince (yes the Prince). And she has spread the stylish Ms. Wood word to his backup singers who are now bonkers for Alicia’s wearables.

Let me bring you back… back to early October 2010… back to the event that is easily the best week in fashion Portland sees each year… obviously… I’m talking about Portland Fashion Week. Five days of local, national, and international designers unveil their Spring/Summer 2011 lines to myriad boutique owners, celebrities and buyers aplenty. Each night is capped with an exclusive late night blockbuster of an after party where people in the know talk about their “must-haves” for the warm weather that’s sure to come once the long rainy season has ended. Well, hold on to your hat because it’s nearly March and the Spring/Summer 2011 lines we’ve been waiting for are here! PFW 2010 Designers are selling their wears all over the world and below is a list telling you where to get them. Check it out for yourself.
